Interestingly, many of us are like king Nebuchadnezzar at the beginning of this chapter. How? You may ask.
When God lays something upon your heart, the first thing you do is ask people, google or even go on youtube. Instead of going back to God and asking Him for clarity and direction. King Nebuchadnezzar called on everyone except the One True GOD.
For some of us, Google is our magician, you are expecting instant answers from it. The truth is, Google and all other social media platforms are not wiser than man. The information there is limited to the wisdom of the wisest man. You cannot get divine revelation by that search nor gain access to ancient wisdom.
News flash! Just as all the magicians, Chaldeans, sorcerers and enchanters did not know, your internet searches would also not know. They will only answer questions you have an idea about. They will not birth newness out of you!
Tarry in God’s presence for clarity and direction, that is the only way!
Verses 10 and 11 are also interesting. Is it really true that there is no man on earth who can tell the king this matter? This was beyond them, their minds could not even capture the possibility of there being anyone alive who could solve this problem. Then they said :
Daniel 2:11 “ Furthermore, what the king demands is an unusual and difficult thing indeed! No one except the gods can reveal it to the king, and their dwelling is not with [mortal] flesh.
Here, they acknowledged the sovereignty of GOD Most High and also acknowledged that they had no access to HIM.
But I ask again, is it really true that there is not a man alive who can tell the king this matter?
They were correct to say that God does not dwell among flesh. John 4:24. Truly God does not dwell among “flesh”. God is Spirit, they that worship Him must worship in Spirit and in Truth! When the veil was torn, we had access to the Holy of holies. What happened is that we could now dwell in the presence of God. Our worship brings down His presence and we can now bask in it. That’s why the Bible says we are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, far above principalities and powers. Therefore, the invitation from God is usually to “COME UP HITHER!” ascend into His presence. Except you separate yourself and come up hither, you will not have access to this kind of wisdom. It is time to stop doing Christianity on the surface, ascend!
Furthermore,with so much confidence, Daniel went before the king and asked him to choose a time and date when he needed his answers. This is the greatest flex ever! He was like, “I am so confident in my walk with GOD, there is nothing I cannot know because my God Knows all things. You choose the time and date and you will get your answers.” I feel like pausing here to do a victory dance!

Daniel did something you should take note of. He went to his brethren and asked for a corporate prayer. Remember when the Bible said “ do not forsake the gathering of the brethren”( Hebrews 10:25). I hope you have these brethren who you can call for prayers in such situations. I am not talking about your pastor, I mean, your friends, sisters and brothers in the Lord with whom you are running this christian race. They prayed and God revealed the secret to Daniel. That in itself is also amazing, how the 4 of them prayed and the secret was revealed to only Daniel… why do you think that is? Share your thoughts and revelations in the comment section below.
Then Daniel said to the king’s captain in Daniel chapter 2, verse 24. Do not execute the wise men of Babylon ( which includes the Chaldeans, magicians, sorcerers and enchanters).Because God does not want the death of sinners, He prefers for them to repent. That is why He said, “I set before you life and death, choose life!” (Deuteronomy30:19) I urge you to choose life today.
