The people you listen to don’t have sense!

A popular award-winning music artist recently made a comment on a show. In trying to explain and justify his promiscuity, he said his manhood has a mind of its own and even though he adores his wife and wants to be faithful, his manhood goes ahead to commit adultery.

Now you wonder why you are struggling with lust! You remember the scripture “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh”? Luke 6:45 Yes! Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth singeth too and this is very serious. There are certain songs you listen to that put you in a certain mood. Why is that? This is because there is a spirit that accompanies every sound. Just from listening, you can feel the essence of the song and envision its instructions.

What are the major contents of “worldly music”? Lust, materialism, pride, violence, drugs and so on. From the music videos you see nakedness, expensive cars, expensive jewellery, tattoos, smoking, drinking and all sorts. But you who is dearly beloved by God, sing, dance and vibe to these songs because you love the rhythm. Choose ye this day whom you will serve.

The spirit of lust that accompanies that song enters the listener and engages to find expression. So, you have been struggling with stopping fornication, pornography, adultery, masturbation, dirty thoughts, smoking, drinking etc. but you still listen to secular songs and maybe even still club and party and then make excuses for these actions. That’s the problem right there!

There are certain things to note for your own good. The fact that the whole world does it will never make it right. The fact that you are trying to look and feel “civilised and matured will never make it right. The fact that your government endorses it will never make it right!

You can never be matured for sin. I know you close the eyes of your children when a sex scene comes on TV, but why are your own eyes still open? You think you are mature enough to watch it? No! there is no such thing as maturity when it comes to consuming immoral content. It has negative effects both on the young and old. So next time, change the channel completely or turn off the TV. Your mind needs to be consecrated as well and not only the minds of your children.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians‬ 4‬:8‬ KJV

The above scripture should be your standard for testing any content you should consume.
